Legacy of Giving was formed in 2017 after the discontinuation of SOHO Music Festival, which operated for 12 great years and donated over $150,000 to charity. Several of SOHO's leaders reorganized as Lincoln's Legacy of Giving NFP, and LoG Music Festival was born.

As of 2018, Legacy of Giving is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that operates to raise funds for other local charities, primarily through the annual music festival. We are a non-political and secular organization that believes in supporting the greater community-at-large.

 

Legacy of Giving is 100% volunteer-driven and has no paid employees; all monies raised (besides operating expenses) are proudly given to charity.

Each year, the committee chooses 10 local charities to receive the proceeds of the festival. Charities apply for consideration and, in turn, agree to partner with LoG to help operate the festival in the form of volunteers. It takes a community to raise a music festival, and it takes over 300 volunteers to make everything run smoothly! In addition to the primary recipients, LoG participates in events throughout the year that support additional local charities.

To date, Legacy of Giving has given over $50,000+ to local charities in just its first three years!
