60 Acts. 5 Stages.

Our 2020 First Wave!

Over 100 submissions from 7 states across all genres in 2019

We are proud to offer one of the most diverse lineups of any event in Illinois, and easily the largest in the central Illinois area. Two main stages, two sides stages, and an acoustic stage placed on the south steps of the historic Old State Capitol.

Are you interested in playing at
Springfield's largest music festival?
What we offer:
  • Opportunity to perform in front of Springfield's largest crowds on one of five stages (including around and/or on the steps of the historic Old State Capitol)
  • Professional sound and lighting, including two fully dressed SL-100 main stages
  • Cross-promotion in print and social media, including an exclusive spotlight post.
  • Complimentary admission for all performing artists for the weekend
  • Complimentary meal and beverage tickets for performing artists (on day of performance)
  • Hotel accommodations for acts traveling greater than 60 miles (discounted rates for local acts)
  • A simple revenue-sharing model where performers are given a direct cut of paid attendance
(see below submission form for details)
What we need:
60+ musical acts interested in donating their performances across June 5th and 6th, 2020 in downtown Springfield, potentially rain or shine.
Performing artists willing to arrive, set up, and perform within their arranged times in order to not cut into other performer's time slots.
Reasonable follow-up (timely responses) with our Stage Director
Cross-promotion of the official LoG Event (DO NOT create your own event) on Facebook and other media
Volunteers - if you know any, send them our way! Performers are our most valuable volunteers, however- without you, there's no music festival!

Direct Revenue-Sharing!

Legacy of Giving has thrived since day 1 by creating win/win opportunities for all of our partners. Our predecessor and our event both had historically always operated on the charitable performances of our artists. We cannot understate how much these dozens of talented groups and recording artists from literally across the country literally were the heroes for the first 15 years.

Times have changed, and our artist friends need our support as much as ever. In 2021, we will begin a direct revenue-share with our artists. $1 from every paid attendee will go directly to the musicians, and disbursements will be made within one week of the event. The better the festival does, the more the artists get paid! We hope this encourages our performers to draw as many attendees as possible, and in that way we all win- including the charities.

Our Acoustic Stage performers will receive approximately 18% of the artist's share for their night of performance, Side Stage performers will get about 35%, and Main Stage Performers will get 47% of the share.

HOW DOES THIS ACTUALLY WORK?

Here's an approximate breakdown of what payments would be, based on the 2019 attendance of 6,000 on Friday and 8,000 on Saturday. This approximate breakdown is provided with the most conservative (low) numbers in mind, and please note that over 5,000 free passes are given out each year and children under 10 are free- but both are still counted in overall attendance.
