We hope that this message finds you safe and well. We wanted to share an update regarding the status of Springfield’s largest Music Fest, scheduled for this coming June 5th and 6th in Downtown Springfield.
At this time, we have put all current festival arrangements on PAUSE while we- just like you- eagerly await the positive outcomes of the local, statewide, and national efforts to curtail the Covid-19 pandemic. We sincerely hope that the next few weeks of safety measures prove successful in returning us to our normal ways, which would ideally include a fully operational festival. We can still execute a complete event if given a green light by May 5th- but every day thereafter will decrease our ability to guarantee a full event experience.
Please bear with us as we follow the daily developments and assess, by the day, whether to proceed with the festival. If we are able to proceed, be prepared for additional safety protocols to ensure everyone can enjoy themselves without unnecessary concerns. If we must cancel, we are unsure if a makeup event is possible in 2020- but we do not intend to discontinue LoG Music Festival permanently regardless of what happens in 2020.
Lastly, we ask that you all do your part, whatever it may be. Wash your hands thoroughly and often. Try, as hard as it can be, to not touch your face. Practice social distancing. Do not hoard essential goods or medical supplies. Our festival, our community, and our species all rely on each of us doing our part.
We wish safety and health to each and every one of you. May we all emerge from this experience safely, and be stronger and better because of it.
All Our Best,
Legacy of Giving Music Festival
